From Oklahoma City and Tulsa to Norman, Broken Arrow and Edmond, Oklahoma began allowing credit card surcharges in November 2025, with a lower cap than most states. We show you exactly what you pay and set it up to the new rule. No contracts, no cancellation fees.
Senate Bill 677 (14A O.S. 2-211) allows a credit card surcharge of up to 2 percent of the transaction or your actual processing cost, whichever is less. That is lower than the card-brand cap of about 3 percent, so the state cap is the one that binds.
The surcharge amount must be posted at the entrance and at the point of sale, on the home page and checkout page for online sales, or said aloud on phone orders.
A merchant that accepts only credit cards may not surcharge at all, because customers must have a way to pay without the fee. Tips and sales tax follow the national rules: only the proportional fee on the tip portion, and a surcharge on a taxable sale is part of taxable receipts.
We set the surcharge at or under 2 percent or your actual cost, post the notices where Oklahoma requires them, and confirm you accept another way to pay. Or use Dual Pricing instead.
Check any state in our surcharge checker. Rules change, so we confirm the current position before configuring anything. This is general information, not legal advice.

The lower cap matters most where tickets are large.
