What we do

Every way you get paid, one partner who knows your account.

We set up the processing, the equipment, and the software, then we stay on the line. Interac priced right, pricing you can read, and a person who picks up.

How we do it

Three steps, no pressure.

You don’t need to understand processing to get a straight answer. Tell us what you pay today and we take it from there.

  1. 1

Tell us what you pay today

On a flat-rate app, the 2.65% and 2.9% + 30¢ kind? Your rate is published, so we already have your number. Everyone else: one recent statement. Upload it, email it, or text us a photo of it.

  2. 2

We go over it with you

Line by line, on a call. Your true rate, what every fee is for, including Interac, and the ones that should come off, flagged. If the savings aren’t there, we say so.

  3. 3

We set you up and stay on the line

No downtime: you’re live with us before the old account closes. After that, you have a direct line to someone who knows your account.

Switching from another processor? We help cover your early-termination fee and set you up with Interac done right.

A Canadian question

Are you paying credit-card rates on Interac debit?

Most of your customers tap Interac. Interac debit should cost you far less than a Visa or Mastercard credit transaction. But many flat-rate apps charge you the same high rate on everything, including Interac.

If that is happening, you’re overpaying on a big share of your sales without knowing it. We show you the split and set you up so Interac is priced like Interac.

Two things quietly cost you money

Most businesses aren’t overpaying because they made a bad choice. They’re overpaying because the system is built to be hard to read, and hard to get help with.

The first problem

The confusing statement and the hidden fee

Statements are designed to be hard to read. The real cost hides in downgrades, padding, and fees most people can’t explain, plus Interac priced like a credit card. We walk you through it, line by line.

The second problem

The faceless, flat-rate processor

The big flat-rate apps work, but you usually pay more than you need to, and when something goes wrong, a straight answer can be hard to get. With us, a real person who knows your account picks up.

What are you really paying?

Two numbers from your statement tell you your true effective rate, in Canadian dollars.

$

--%
Your effective rate is the real percentage you pay on every dollar you process.

An estimate based on the numbers you enter. Your actual rate depends on your Interac and credit mix, transaction sizes, and interchange.

Your real rate: the equation and the gap Total fees divided by total card volume gives the effective rate, shown as $1,500 divided by $50,000 equals 3.0 percent, with two bars underneath where the effective rate stands taller than the rate you were quoted and the difference is bracketed as downgrades and junk fees. YOUR REAL RATE Total fees divided by total card volume. Two numbers from your statement, one honest answer. TOTAL FEES $1,500 everything you paid last month ÷ CARD VOLUME $50,000 everything you ran on cards = EFFECTIVE RATE 3.0% your real rate what you actually pay on every dollar, once every fee is counted the headline number The rate you were quoted QUOTED RATE DOWNGRADES + JUNK FEES 3.0% Your effective rate THE GAP Downgrades and junk fees The quoted rate only applied to some of your transactions. The rest, plus the monthly fees, is the gap. The advertised rate is what they want you to look at. The effective rate is what you actually pay. Support that knows you

The difference is who picks up the phone.

The big processors hand you a portal. We give you a direct line to someone who knows your account and your business.

When it comes to your money, you shouldn’t wait 48 hours for an email. You get straight answers, in English or in French, from people who treat your business like it matters.

Questions we hear a lot

How is Interac priced?
Interac debit should cost far less than a Visa or Mastercard credit transaction. The problem is that some flat-rate apps charge the same high rate on everything. We make sure Interac is priced like Interac, and we show you the split.
Can I surcharge credit cards in Canada?
In most provinces you can surcharge credit cards up to 2.4 percent, with notice, signage, and receipt disclosure. You can’t surcharge in Quebec, and you can’t surcharge Interac debit. We set it up correctly for your province. See our surcharge checker.
Do you really have no contracts or cancellation fees?
Yes. No long-term contracts and no cancellation fees. The Code of Conduct for the Payment Card Industry in Canada also protects your right to clear pricing.
Do you serve Quebec in French?
Yes. We’re based in Pointe-Claire and we serve Quebec businesses in French.
